Are you a fellow tomato enthusiast? To me, there is almost nothing better to eat than a perfectly ripe, just-picked tomato. My dad even used to eat sandwiches solely made of thick slices of tomato, salt, pepper, and mayo between slices of white bread (“mater sandwiches”).
I captured my impression of these tomatoes using acrylic paint on canvas. If you look closely, you can also see I used texture additives, including gel, fiber paste, and fine texture medium (the sand-like areas), as well final layers of painting on top of these, to add depth.
